Product Overview
State Grid standardized Transformer Equipment includes three types: standard, compact, and alternative. The standard type of Transformer Equipment is suitable for areas with sufficient space for equipment and significant power loads; the compact type is ideal for areas with limited installation space, such as streets, where the importance of power loads is moderate. In addition, the alternative type provides a transitional solution, which is only suitable for replacing American box-type transformers that are in operation but have safety risks. These designs ensure reliable integration with the power grid transformer, and the advanced Transformer Equipment helps maintain stable and efficient power distribution.
Application Scenarios
Zhejiang Lvma Electric Co., Ltd. 10kV State Grid Standardized Box Transformer is available in standard, compact and alternative versions to match different site‑space conditions, load priorities and renovation‑project requirements.
Standard Type - Large‑load zones with sufficient installation space The standard‑version unit applies to sites with ample ground space and heavy power‑consumption loads. It is widely deployed for new urban residential communities, large industrial zones, commercial complexes and municipal power distribution nodes, delivering stable medium‑to‑low voltage power supply for high‑capacity power‑consuming users.
Compact Type - Space‑constrained urban public areas Featuring space‑saving layout, the compact model fits locations with limited installation room and moderate‑priority power loads. Typical scenarios include city streets, downtown roadside power distribution points, small‑size residential blocks and urban reconstruction projects where land resources are tight.
Alternative Type - Safety‑risk equipment replacement projects The alternative type serves as a transitional retrofit solution. It is specially used for upgrading existing in‑service American‑style box transformers with hidden safety hazards, helping power utilities eliminate equipment risks without large‑scale grid reconstruction.
All three versions adopt factory‑integrated modular design, minimizing field construction work and adapting to urban new‑build and power‑grid‑renovation projects.

We provide full sets of English technical drawings, operation manuals and factory test reports. Remote technical guidance is available for installation, commissioning and daily maintenance to support your project execution.

Installation
Foundation and Site Preparation
Construct a flat, load‑bearing concrete foundation according to drawing requirements. Ensure effective drainage to prevent water ponding beneath and inside the cabinet. Reserve adequate surrounding space for daily operation, inspection and maintenance. For alternative‑type replacement projects, verify the dimension compatibility with original installation position before civil work.
Lifting and Positioning
Lift the equipment by designated lifting lugs only. Avoid violent collision or impact during hoisting and transportation. Place the box transformer accurately onto the finished foundation and adjust for level alignment.
Earthing Work
Reliably connect the cabinet grounding terminals to the site grounding grid complying with power safety standards. Good earthing is critical for personal safety and fault protection performance.
High‑voltage & Low‑voltage Cable Connection
Carry out cable termination and wiring strictly following official wiring diagrams. Apply correct torque to all connection terminals. For alternative‑type retrofit projects, double‑check phase sequence consistency with original grid circuits.
Pre‑energization Inspection & Testing
Inspect cabinet doors, sealing strips, locking devices and internal components for integrity. Measure insulation resistance, check protection parameter settings and complete all necessary functional tests before energization.
Energization and Acceptance Hand‑over
Perform step‑by‑step power‑on procedure. Confirm no abnormal noise, temperature rise or fault signals during trial operation. Hand over installation checklists, drawings and related technical documents upon project acceptance.
Important Note: All installation, commissioning and maintenance work must be completed by qualified certified electrical technicians, in compliance with local power codes.
