Structural Design & Maintenance Advantages of Oil-Immersed Transformers

Oil-immersed transformers adopt optimized winding structure, reliable fastening technology, rigorous moisture-proof treatment and innovative corrugated tank design. The overall structural optimization comprehensively improves mechanical stability, insulation durability and operational economy, achieving low maintenance and long-life operation. The detailed structural characteristics and technical advantages are summarized as follows:

1. Optimized Winding Structural Design with Superior Short-Circuit Resistance

In terms of winding configuration, small-capacity oil-immersed transformers adopt conventional copper conductor windings. For medium and large-capacity models, low-voltage windings adopt axial wound copper foil cylindrical structures, while high-voltage windings adopt standardized multi-layer cylindrical structures. This scientific structural layout realizes balanced ampere-turn distribution inside the windings, effectively suppresses leakage magnetic field, and significantly reduces electromagnetic loss. Meanwhile, the integral cylindrical winding structure features high overall mechanical rigidity, uniform stress distribution and strong structural stability, greatly improving the transformer's ability to withstand short-circuit electromagnetic impact and avoiding winding deformation or displacement during grid faults.

2. Vibration-Resistant Fastening Structure for Transportation and Operation Stability

The iron core and windings adopt independent separate fastening and positioning structures to achieve overall modular fixation. Key fastening components such as equipment height limit structures and low-voltage lead fixing parts are equipped with self-locking anti-loosening nuts to prevent structural loosening caused by long-term operational vibration. The whole machine adopts a non-hanging core structural design, which effectively enhances the overall seismic and vibration resistance. It can withstand severe vibration and bumping during long-distance transportation and on-site hoisting, ensuring that the internal structure remains intact and precisely positioned before and after installation.

3. Full Vacuum Drying & Oil Filtration Process for Ultra-Low Moisture Content

To eliminate internal moisture hidden dangers that easily cause insulation aging, the core and coil components undergo strict integral vacuum drying treatment to completely remove internal residual moisture and air gaps. Meanwhile, the transformer insulating oil is processed through secondary vacuum oil filtration and vacuum pressure oil injection technology. This standardized process minimizes the internal moisture content of the equipment, maintains high dielectric strength of the insulating oil and internal insulation system, and lays a solid foundation for long-term stable insulation performance.

4. Corrugated Sheet Oil Tank Design for Compact Structure

The transformer oil tank is welded with high-quality corrugated sheets, which have flexible breathing and volume compensation functions. With the change of operating temperature, the corrugated structure can freely expand and contract to automatically compensate the volume change of insulating oil caused by thermal expansion and cold contraction. This design completely cancels the traditional oil storage cabinet structure, effectively reduces the overall height and occupied space of the transformer, realizes a more compact and lightweight body structure, and improves the flexibility of on-site installation and layout.

5. Fully Isolated Oil System to Prevent Insulation Performance Degradation

Replacing the traditional open oil storage cabinet with a fully sealed corrugated tank structure realizes complete isolation between the internal insulating oil and the external atmospheric environment. It effectively prevents external oxygen, moisture and dust impurities from invading the oil tank, avoids oil oxidation deterioration and moisture absorption, and permanently maintains the purity and insulation performance of the transformer oil. The closed isolation structure fundamentally suppresses the aging rate of internal insulation materials and improves the long-term operational reliability of the equipment.

6. Maintenance-Free Operation & Full-Cycle Economic Advantages

Benefiting from the optimized winding structure, anti-loosening vibration-resistant design, ultra-low moisture vacuum process and fully sealed corrugated isolation system, the oil-immersed transformer realizes stable and reliable full-cycle operation. Under normal grid operating conditions, the equipment requires no regular oil replacement or oil quality maintenance. This innovative structural design greatly reduces daily operation and maintenance costs, eliminates frequent manual maintenance work, effectively extends the overall service life of the transformer, and delivers significant economic and reliable operational advantages for long-term grid power distribution projects.
