Product Overview
The Ring Cage, also professionally known as ring network cabinet, is an intelligent medium voltage rmu and high-performance outdoor ring main unit launched in response to the State Grid's new standard "Technical Standards for Primary and Secondary Complete Equipment." This advanced ring network cabinet integrates electromagnetic voltage transformers, current transformers, power metering modules, and high-speed fault transient wave technology, consisting of ring-in and ring-out units, feeder units, busbar equipment (PT) units, centralized DTU, and connecting cables.
As a reliable medium voltage rmu, it can collect active power, reactive power, power factor, frequency, zero-sequence current, and zero-sequence voltage, providing functions such as line loss metering, power metering, line voltage identification, voltage over-limit and load over-limit alarms, short-circuit fault detection and processing, and single-phase ground fault detection and processing. Main Functions
Based on the traditional DTU function, the metering-level distribution line loss collection function is added, the judgment and positioning function of small current grounding fault is optimized, and the sampling frequency is increased, making the waveform of the fault recording closer to the real waveform.
1.Line loss collection function
The distribution line loss collection module is used to realize the interval electric energy collection function, and the electric energy data on the line is measured in real time, including forward and reverse active power calculation and four-quadrant reactive power calculation, thus realizing the two-way metering function and supporting the positioning function;
2.Small current grounding fault judgment and positioning function
By analyzing and collecting data from phase current transformers and zero-sequence current transformers, the control unit uses a variety of algorithms to identify these characteristic values, thereby accurately locating the area where the fault occurs;
3.Fault recording function
Through sampling of 128 points per cycle, and the complete record of telesignalling information like the waveform of each channel and the open position of the 4 cycles before the fault and the 8 cycles after the fault, the information is sent to the main station for analysis of the cause of the fault, and it also supports the cyclic storage of 64 fault recordings.

Reliable sealing performance: With mature sealing enclosure technology and IP67 protection level, the enclosure is processed by one-step molding process of mold stretching, which is easy to seal the box, with high airtightness and high mechanical strength;
Maintenance-free feature: The load switch/circuit breaker main circuit, secondary components, and operating mechanism are all sealed in SF6 gas, unaffected by the external environment, with stable, reliable, and maintenance-free performance.
